10 months old

Cullen is now 10 months old. I simply can't believe my own eyes! He is growing up so fast. I know everyone says it, but it is SO true. Our baby is no longer a baby! He is a mover and a shaker! Happy Happy boy, we love you so much!

Cullen's 1st Hair Cut!

BEFORE: The top and front didn't need much attention, just a trim and a few long ones that needed to be cut. AFTER: Nice and clean cut. BEFORE: The back is what needed the most attention. He did pretty well, but we definately needed two people to get the job done. One to cut and one to distract! Thanks, Mom!

AFTER: How adorable is he? He looks so different ( a little more blonde, a little more like Breck, and a lot older!) and oh so very cute!

Indoor Park

We met Grandma/Grandpa Burns in New Brighton for a birthday lunch ( for grandma) and a day of playing! Here Cullen and Breck were playing together in the ball pit... or ball popper as Breck calls it.

Cullen playing by himself. He loved being in there and also trying to put the balls in his mouth! Gross! But he had fun! Breck trying to climb the wall, but not really able to grasp the concept of actually "climbing the wall" so he just hung!

Rockin' Out!

Breck has always really enjoyed music and playing instruments and I was lucky enough to have a front row tickets to his performance the other night. It was an impromtu concert and I caught him playing his pj guitar. How his hands are positioned it really looks like he is holding a real guitar! How crazy!

And while Breck was singing and playing his guitar, Cullen wanted to join in on the vocals. He crawled to the corner where we keep our musical instruments are picked up the mic. He started singing along :) It was awesome! Breck didn't like his little brother joining in at first, but soon they were rockin' out together!!

Cullen has really enjoyed crawling around the house. He is now making laps too. But he loves to be "chased" so I was "gonna get you"!!

Beautiful night for sledding

Shawn and Breck had a great time sledding tonight as big fluffy snowflakes fell from the sky. What a beautiful night!

If you are wondering what Breck is saying....he says "Wheee, weeee break the ice." 3 times. We have the game Don't Break the Ice and he is totally diggin' it right now, so that is where his saying came from.

1st Skate of the Year

Breck finally got out on the ice and let me tell you he was SUPER excited. I told him when he woke up from nap that Dad would be home from work and would take him to the hockey rink to go skating. It was the best news he'd heard :) When I woke him up the first words out of his mouth were..."Dad's taking me skating now" with a HUGE smile on his face. He did really well with balancing and moving his feet. I don't know if it's skating yet, but he'll get there. Leaps and bounds better than last year! He also liked using the chair to move too. Shawn and Breck had a really good time together, don't know who had more fun:)

Backyard Sledding

Breck got a new sled for Christmas and he has really enjoyed using it. He is pretty hesitant going alone and prefers going with mom or dad. We created a sledding run from the side of our house (up by the neighbors garage) all the way to the alley. It's got a few curves and you get going pretty fast...we have to use our hands and feet as brakes to slow down a little bit. Daddy took Cullen on a few rides and he seems to be liking it. Taking a break between runs. Here comes Breck....he loves to go fast and giggles the whole way down. You can see the little wall that Shawn built to keep the sled on track after coming down the lil hill. Pure excitement here! I can almost hear him screaming :)

Busy little boy...

Culley Bear loves to make noises with his tongue, or spit. He thinks it's the coolest thing. Breck also likes when he does it and they both end up laughing a lot. Stairs! He is doing very well with them so far. He's more of a dare devil than his brother was too. He can go both up and down, but we still stay close just in case. He's not that sturdy yet! Cullen also loves to play hide and seek or peek-a-boo around the coffee table. We spend a lot of time smiling and laughing at each other. He's also waving bye-bye and giving lots of open mouth kisses. Sometimes he waves with two hands too. Here was just a normal wave. It has been a theme in our house with both boys loving Mazie's water dish. Cullen just loves water in general so keeping him out of it is hard work. He makes a b-line for it any chance he can get. I cut him off by going the other way and got a picture of him on the move!

Here is a picture I have been meaning to put up since October. This picture was taken at my sister's wedding and is the only professional picture we have of all of us!

Boys

Cullen loves to sit in his high chair and watch us. He always has the best smiles and giggles for us. Right now he is such a jabber box. He loves to hear himself make noises and listen to his voice echo. We might be getting words soon! Breck loves to play, both alone and with people. Here he is playing house. His favorite parts are the garage, the car, the tractor (which is actually a baby buggy) and the doorbell. I just found 3 little people in my mitten the other day;) Culley is also on the move. He is crawling really fast and pulling himself up on everything. He has taken a few steps with his walker and likes to let go with both hands sometimes. He is starting to get better balance. Breck also likes to make us laugh. Here he put q-tips in both his ears and started yelling at us like we couldn't hear him. Such funny guys we have!

New Years Eve Christmas

We were able to finally get my family together on New Years Eve for our Christmas. We enjoyed a nice lunch of appetizers and then opened gifts before heading out to WI for more family fun! Breck was the happiest lil guy...He got 2 hockey nets, 4 sticks, 2 balls and a puck! And those were only a few of his gifts! Cullen had way more fun crawling around and chewing on wrapping paper then actually opening any gifts :) He does really enjoy his new book however. That kept him busy for a while. A Christmas family shot:) Breck checking out his new train set. He couldn't wait to open everything and start playing! And last but not least, the entire Pearce clan!

SNOW and 9 months

Breck playing hockey with Grandpa Gary and Uncle Brent. They had a lot of fun even though it was pretty cold out. Cullen also turned 9 months so I needed to add a 9 month picutre too :) Cullen is now enjoying the sled. So he did a little sledding. Stacy and I were playing with Cullen and watching the dogs run while the boys were playing hockey. We had some fun of our own! Then Breck needed a turn sledding so Stacy took him for a ride!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve and part of Christmas day in Mankato. Both boys enjoyed being with family, playing in the snow and opening gifts. There was A LOT of snow in Mankato and Breck and Dad both love to shovel. Mazie had a good time running around too. Then of course we needed to make some Christmas cookies :) So Breck and Dad rolled out sugar cookie dough and made all different shapes! Cullen and Breck waiting patiently by Grandma and Grandpa's Christmas tree before opening presents. Cullen liked the bows the most! Mom holding Cullen (he spent most of the weekend in mommy's lap) Breck tearing open some more gifts! He had such a great time this year. He really enjoyed helping everyone with their gifts as well. It brought such joy to my heart to see him SO happy and excited. Kids make everything more enjoyable:)
