EASTER!!

Saturday Breck and I decorated/dyed a few eggs. I don't think that we have ever done it, so we thought we would give it a try. It was fun, but not a huge hit.

We woke up Sunday morning and headed downstairs to watch the boys find their Easter Baskets. Breck found his first and before I could get a good picture of his finding it, he already found a pinwheel and was showing it off!

Cullen found his and jumped right in as well. He however got a microphone that he was excited about! Our boys sure like singing (making noises!)

Then they went searching for more eggs. Breck was so excited he had the eggs open before he picked them up. So we had lots of candy spills :) It was funny how he would try one piece from each egg and then put it in his basket and look for more. By the time he got back to his basket he would find more toys that he didn't see the first time around.

Then Cullen wanted to see what his brother got too. So Breck showed Cullen everything and even wanted to share his candy with him:) They are so sweet to each other!

Then Cullen went back to his basket and checked out what he got. I love his expression! He was super pumped!

He also was surprisingly good at finding eggs too. We weren't sure how that would go, but he found all of his eggs! Good job, Culley!

More treats!!! Therese and Gary (our wonderful neighbors) brought the boys marshmellow treats. They are so good to our boys. We are very lucky.

After all the fun and candy we headed out to church! Came home and enjoyed another beautiful day. Both boys napped while mom and dad tackled another project. Then took a long walk later in the evening. Over all a very good weekend!!!

Nice weather....FINALLY!!

This last weekend we finally had some nice weather and were able to get out and enjoy it. We spent Easter weekend in town getting stuff done around the house and relaxing. We took some nice walks....and of course ended up at the park! Breck is obviously very excited about it. Cullen was loving the swing (Breck did too at this age) and didn't really want to do anything else other than swing.

Shawn and Breck played baseball while I pushed Cullen in the swing. Spring always gives us a break from hockey, but baseball and golf take its place!

And more swinging :) We love being outside and so do the boys so we really hope this weather sticks around.

Cullen has been pretty cranky this morning....both boys were waking up just before 7 (which is really rare in our house). So he was crying and crying and Breck ran into the other room to get his Easter basket, grabbed an egg with crackers inside, ran back to the kitchen and opened it and gave Cullen a treat! Then he said "There Cullen, do you like it? Mom, he's happy now!!!" What a great big brother he is! (Easter pics to come later)

Just another day...

Lately, the thing to do is play drums on mom's metal bowl and a few others. But the metal bowl is VERY loud and they both love to hit it! I tried moving it onto the couch thinking that might "mute" the ringing sound a little....but it's still very very loud! Breck has really enjoyed playing with his "monkey puppet". He talks to it, asks it questions, and sets it on the floor while he is playing. He really likes when I talk for the monkey and answer all his questions :)

HOPPY EASTER!! This little bunny got ears at the grocery store and has been hopping around ever since.

Have I mentioned that Cullen likes to eat?? Cause he does. He has been working on using forks, spoons and bowls and has been doing pretty well. Here he is making sure he didn't miss any applesauce left in the bowl.

BIG weekend!

Thursday night we headed down to Mankato to spend some time with the Burns'. We celebrated Cullen's 1st birthday with some Triple Chocolate cake!

And of course, a few gifts to unwrap as well. Supervised by Breck :)

Shawn and Greg were hoping to get in a round of golf but the weather wasn't cooperating. So we just hung out around the house. Cullen and Uncle Greg playing keys and a little cars!

Then we traveled down to Walnut Grove and Marshall, MN for Shawn's cousin Kaylan and Nathan's wedding. This family photo was taken right before the service. And if we were thinking we should have done the whole Burns family right then cause of course we didn't do it later in the evening.

There was even a little time left over to swim before heading out on Sunday. It was so much fun to see everyone and enjoy such a wonderful wedding. Thanks again Johnsons!!

We then had a 5+ hour drive back to Duluth. So we split of our trip by stopping to see a few of Shawn's good friends (Brian, Paul and Meg) It was a beautiful afternoon and a visit with them was long overdue. I didn't take pictures, but we all had a lot of fun!!! As you can tell it was a very exhausting weekend filled with lots of fun! The boys crashed within 5 minutes of leaving their house and slept until 9am this morning:) I do have to say Breck was in heaven with all the sports he got to play. He somehow even got a new football (Thanks Brian) and lots of golf balls (Thanks Paul) -and though it didn't seem like it- Goldy was a hit!

We are using the deck in full force these days. It has been so beautiful! Breck is sharing his bike with Cullen and even showing him how to ride it. He was pushing him all around the deck! They both loved it. I wish I would have taken video instead, then you could hear them laughing at each other and Breck saying "Good job Culley" What goofballs! Seriously, I love them!

Another bday for Cullen

Gma Dee and Gpa Gary came up for the weekend to celebrate Cullen's birthday. We spent one morning/afternoon at the Children's museum. Here Cullen and I were playing peek a boo through the window of the big shoe and ended up getting a great pic with grandma!

Breck and grandpa Gary were making a track on the giant magnetic wall. They had a good time racing balls down the track.

Cullen also had a good time playing with magnets! (so did mom and gpa) Shawn didn't join us because he was at home waiting for the plumber to come install a new water heater. Our's unfortunately gave out this weekend :(

Once everything was fixed and in working order we had brownies for Culley's bday!

He just couldn't wait to get his hands on them :) Neither could Breck, see him lurking in the corner :)

And boy were they good! He really does like the sweets!

Then opened a few gifts and did lots of playing. What a great weekend.

And of course the birthday boy with Gma and Gpa Pearce! Thanks for coming and for helping out with all our tasks this weekend. It's always great to have you here!

Snow in April....Not Cool!

Well on April fools day weather played a mean prank on us and it snowed! We went from playing outside in the sun to shoveling the next day! Luckily it all melted fast and warmed up again. Breck did however enjoy shoveling 1 last time for the year (hopefully!) Cullen out cold! I tried waking him up for a few minutes before I decided to get the camera and take a picture of it....so cute! He sleeps just like his mom, on his stomach with one leg out and bent up.

The NCAA tourny has inspired a new bballer in our house! Breck has really liked playing basketball lately. It's nice to have a break from hockey!

Water Table

Breck and Cullen got a water table for their birthdays and it has provided much entertainment for them as well as us! Both boys LOVE the water and they were ready to play before we had it out of the box. Here they are playing as we were adding water.

Climb in!! It took Cullen all of 10 minutes to need to find another way to get wet. So he climbed up the leg of the table and dove in! I do have to say it was Hilarious ( Stacy and I were laughing so hard!) Water is always so much fun!
