Memorial Day Weekend

We were in Duluth again this past weekend and I do have to say it is SO nice to be at home and get things done. We tried to get out and enjoy the little bit of dry weather we had this weekend too. Nothing like a park full of beautiful yellow flowers :)Cullen likes to swing too. Maybe not as much as his brother but when he gets going he laughs pretty hard.
Oh, how the teeter totter has many functions. Cullen liked going up and down, Breck liked surfing and they both liked going side to side. A pretty entertaining apparatus!
Breck is starting to be more adventurous with slides and is enjoying them as well. Again not as much as his little brother, but between the slide and the swings our boys are pretty happy!!
Grandma Carol and Breck swinging together. Gma and Gpa Burns came up for part of the weekend to hang out with us which was super fun to have them here.
I see you Cullen! We had a good time exploring the park.
We took a walk down to the lake Saturday after naps. The boys threw rocks, Mazie took her first official swim of 2011 (late this year) and Breck, Cullen and I all got our feet wet!
Gpa Mike, Shawn and Cullen.
Breck and Gma Carol building rock sculptures so Breck could then crash them down.
Look at the distance on that throw!
"Here I go" and let me tell you it was pretty cold!
What a great pic of the boys with their grandparents with the lift bridge in the background! Thanks for coming to visit!

Bike Helmets

Trying them on, seeing how they fit. Bonking heads to see if it hurts! Seriously??
Showing off their new helmets! At Kohl's yesterday they had a bike helmet giveaway and so we stood in line and were lucky enough to get one. What a great way to promote safety right before summer! Thanks :)

Como Zoo

Shawn has a conference in the cities on Mon and Tues of this week so we went to the Como Zoo to see all the animals! A cute one of Culley and I. Grandma Dee and Cullen, Grandpa Gary and Breck watching the Polar Bears I believe.
Here they were watching the really cool monkeys, apes, chimps, gorillas and other primates. Really fun to watch them swing and play. We even saw a pregnant monkey.
Breck super intrigued with this Polar Bear (Buzz) watching closely from Grandpa's shoulders.
Trying to get a picture next to Sparky the Seal, but there was too many other things to look at.
Cullen watching the penquins. He really liked the animals that played in water (go figure!) The weather wasn't as warm as we had hoped, but we managed to have a great time anyway. We even toughed out a picnic too!

Update...

Daddy had a golf weekend with the boys so Mom took the boys to the cities for a little Mommy friend time. The weather was crazy but we managed to get in a little outdoor time. Kicking balls at the park.
Playing in the grass, picking flowers, and enjoying the sunshine.
We did get over to see Sydney (and Jessie and Macy) and Jacqui joined us for a while. We had a great time catching up and the kids loved playing too. I wish we could see them more.
The boys spent a lot of time playing with each other and they even got to see Gma and Gpa Pearce for awhile and I got a chance to get out and meet Trista for a nice lunch, Shawn at his conference and we headed down to see Liz & Eric for dinner, and see my sister Stacy as well.
Thanks all for a wonderful weekend!

Fun day

We started off our morning at the Dentist, Breck had his teeth cleaned and enjoyed his experience again which makes coming so easy! Good Job, Breck! Then we headed down to the Lake for some baseball, walking, and of course throwing rocks! I think Breck could throw rocks all day long.
Cullen on the other hand did only a little throwing and a lot of moving. He really really wanted to go in the water so that made it a little difficult to entertain him. I did at one point put his feet in to try and make the water less interesting and it worked, however, it only worked for 2 seconds and then he wanted to get in again !
Laughing at each other! I love my boys!
And lucky for us, we were there at the perfect time! We got to see the Bridge go up, hear the horns, watch a ship go under the bridge, and see it sail away! Pretty fun!

So Big & Playfront

SO BIG!! Boys having a little snack on the water bottles. I had just gotten home from the grocery store and set the bottles in the hallway and they instantly became "the place to sit". Here they look like they are sharing the "bench" but both were bound and determined to have the bench all to themselves.
It has finally been nice enough to spend some time down by the Lake. After Shawn got home from work on Monday we headed down to the new Playfront park for some swinging...
Riding...sliding (I didn't take any slide pictures)
and Playing!! We sure hope this weather stays around cause it's really nice!!

Visit from Uncle Greg

I was making a list to go grocery shopping the other day and Breck wanted to help me cut coupons. So I handed him a scissors and some coupons and he cut for 45 minutes! It was awesome!!!
Cullen also wanted to help by checking the cupboards to see what we needed. I asked him if I should get cereal and I must have guessed what he wanted cause he was pointing to his nose :)
Uncle Greg was in Duluth for a visit before heading to Bayfield for boat chores so we took him out to the Children's Museum and Depot. They are sitting in a giant shoe which Breck so fondly calls his Clubhouse. He is also really into making Garbage sandwiches for any willing takers!
Breck taking Uncle Greg on a tour of some of the old trains. I think they both had a good time!
Cullen driving an old tractor of some kind. He really liked being up high and steering the wheel. It also gave him more opportunity to people watch. A school was there on a field trip so there was lots of kids and movement.

Mother's Day

We woke up at the hotel on Mother's Day morning to a rainy day. We had a big breakfast, swam in the pool, went to gift opening with the families and then headed back to Duluth. The boys had fun riding the cart after loading everyone's cars. Cullen slept for a while but lucky for me he was awake at the outlet mall so we were finally able to stop. Here they are diving Snoopy's house while we took a bathroom break. When we finally got back to Duluth we had some food, unpacked our bags, and went to sleep. Not before I got a picture with my boys. Cullen and Mommy! Breck and Mommy! Notice his sticker he got while shopping earlier in the day :)
And an attempt at Mommy and her boys!

Brent & Courtney's Wedding 5/7/11

The 4 original Pearce children. Last time we will all be jazzed up for one of our weddings and we all clean up quite nice don't you think? Daddy and Breck in their green ties! Cullen has one too but he was still napping.
Our family! (Cullen took his first face dive on the sidewalk about 5 hours before the ceremony too!) Breck and Uncle Brent The beautiful Bride Courtney and her lovely Groom Brent! Congrats you guys, we love you! The whole Pearce Gang!
Their first dance.
Mother/Son dance.
Courtney and I towards the end of the night...we were both exhausted!!
But somehow managed to muster up enough strength to pick up the groom one last time! For some reason their seem to be a few pics of us girls holding Brent. I guess it pays to be the only boy in a family of girls! Love you Brenty!!
