18 months old!!!

Can't believe our little man is 18 months old today! He is a boy of many faces. Super serious face in this one and Wow, does it make his eyes pop! What a cutie with his lil smirk. Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the Culleyman!
Happy guy
No Mom, I'm not gonna smile! Will you please stop taking my picture.
Ok, I'll smile but I won't look at you! Hahaha! Funny guy.

Cullen

Cullen and Mom get some alone time now that Breck is at school and I feel like the most recent pictures have been Breck heavy....so here is an update on Cullen!! This picture was actually taken by Breck but turned out pretty well. Cullen gets to show me his skills without interuption and gets to play with any toys he wants. So we were playing hockey soccer. A very fun game if you've never played before :) And he is very proud of himself!
"Look Mom, a goal!!!" So cute! Good job, Culleybear!
He has also been OBSESSED with driving the car. Getting him in his carseat has been a stuggle as of late unless he gets a few seconds to steer first. So now you know why I'm late :)
And my little daredevil has also mastered climbing up the stool, getting onto the counter, to get into the cupboard and find food HE wants to eat...not what mom wants him to eat! Again, look at that smile....so sneaky!
He still likes to play by himself and do quiet things. He could put money in the slot of this piggybank for hours. Or read books, or drive cars/trains...and yes the mouth is always open. The tongue is usually out too.
Cullen is a very busy boy with lots of strength, spirit, and humor. His laugh is the sweetest thing ever and he makes me laugh all the time. He has turned into a lil boy right before my eyes. Can't really call him my baby anymore, even though he always will be.

Blue Banana

Hey Everyone, this is Blue Banana. He is a monkey from my school and I got to take him home for a while so I could take him on some adventures. This was when he first got to my house and I was showing him around. I liked eating with "Blue nana" and playing with him.
I took him to the Crazy Place and we burned lots of energies. We ran around, climbed thru tunnels, went down the slide and just played."
We took him to the Depot and Cullen and I stuck him in a mailbox! Isn't that funny!
Two books that Breck read to Blue Banana were Curious George goes to Space and No more Monkeys jumping on the bed. He even had to wear his monkey pj's. Very cute.
On the last night we had Blue Banana at our house we took him to Enger Tower. It was very cool. We saw a ship going under the bridge, saw the "toot-toot" yard/train yard, and the golf course from up in the tower.
It was very windy as you can see, but as always, BEAUTIFUL!! So much fun, Shawn and I couldn't figure out why we don't go there more often.
And last but not least a family picture with our new buddy Blue Banana! Thanks for hanging out with us!

Grandparents Day at School

Breck's school had a tea party for grandparents on Monday and the kids started off by singing songs to their guests. Breck is 3rd from the left on the bottom row. Lucky for us both grandparents were able to make it! We also had another little girl from Breck's school join us. Her name is Julia and she was a lot of fun!
Grandma Carol and Breck painting a flower pot picture frame.
Grandpa Gary, Julia, and Breck coloring pictures and making handprints.
Breck with G&G Burns :)
Shawn, Cullen, and Grandpa Mike hanging out!
The whole crew!
Grandma Dee reading Breck a story.

It was such a beautiful day we had lunch on the deck. Breck with both his grandmas.

5k Exploritory Run

I ran a 5k last weekend in Duluth that supported the Children's Museum and was put on by a friend from Breck and Cullen's Tot time. Breck particiapted in the Curious Kids 1/4 mile run all by himself. He was very excited to run alone (mostly cause they had to chase Tucan Sam!) and did a great job! Here he comes down the home stretch! It's so much fun to watch him become more confident in himself and feel comfortable doing new things!
One of the exhibits at the Children's Museum right now is a motion sensored Butterfly screen where they fly around until you stand still, then they land on your shadow. Pretty neat!
They also have a magnet wall so you can arrange PVC pieces to make a ball run. Cullen loves to put the balls in and watch them til they fall in the bucket at the bottom. Mostly he just likes any game with balls!
And to top it off, we got a new piece of outdoor equipment to play on and try to burn off some of the energy these boys seems to never run out of! Thanks CCP for letting your junk be our treasure:)
There's the tongue again!! Both our boys seem to need to stick it out when they are doing pretty much anything!

Part 2

Here is a picture of Breck with his teacher Mrs. Patti. He was still smiles at the end of the day!
When Cullen and I went to pick Breck up he was outside playing with some new friends (Casper I think is the boy) and was having so much fun he didn't realize we were there for almost 10 minutes.
Proud little brother picking up his big brother from school! My new favorite picture of the boys! What a great day for all!

Breck's in Preschool

Yesterday morning was the open house for Congdon Creek Preschool (my old work) which is now Breck's new school!! He has been talking non-stop about how excited he is to go to school!
We went to school and he "signed in", had a snack, played, did a project, and found his cubby and hook! He's pretty pumped!
"Mom, I'm ready for school" I got my backpack and I'm wearing Blue cause I'm in Mrs. Patti's blue group!
Here's my lunch! I get to eat lunch at school too!
Daddy walking me in on my first day of Preschool!
Going in all by myself
Here's my hook. See...it says Breck B. That's me!
Breck is going to start at 11:30 which is lunch time and stay for the afternoon session of preschool. He was very excited, but you can see on his face he isn't sure of how everything works yet. I'm so proud of him! No tears, no hugs, barely a wave good-bye and he was ready to be at school all by himself! Hope you have a wonderful 1st day of school Breck!

New Train Table

Grandma Carol stopped by for a visit after she was in Two Harbors for work and Breck had fun playing games with her on her ipad. Mazie even wanted to play a bit!
Then Shawn and I finally made the boys a Train Table. I have been wanting to make one forever and we finally did it the other morning. The boys were so excited they kept hugging! So sweet!
"MOM, hurry up! Set up the trains....we're ready!!"
I could only get a picture of Breck playing cause Cullen was distracted....
by Breck's bike! He could finally ride it with out his brother trying to tell him what to do!
And after a day of trains, bikes, and lots of playing I find all 3 of my boys cuddling in bed! Breck still really groggy, Cullen giggling, and Shawn trying to pretend he's sleeping. Doesn't get much better than all of my boys in one bed!
