We took a little trip north to Eveleth for some more hockey! Shawn had to ref a game in Virginia so we went with him so we could stop at the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame. Breck thought this stick chair was super cool! It even has goalie sticks :)
Cullen also wanted to sit in the stick chair. It kind of makes him look small, something he is not!
There is seriously something in the Burns boys blood for wanting/needing to be a goalie. He is even in his "goalie" pose for this picture.
Had to get a shot of some Miracle memorabilia!
Checking out the 4th Zamboni ever made. Cullen spent 70% of the time we spent here sitting at the Zamboni. Both boys were really excited about it.
GO WILD!!!
We noticed this ref case and Breck went running over to it and said "Mom, it's my birthday!!" He was right, on March 15th this guy (sorry I don't remember his name or what happened on this day) but we were just excited to see his birthday!
And back to the Zamboni!
It's becoming more clear to me that hockey trumps everything. They didn't want to look at much after the Zamboni because you can play hockey at 3 different places here. So that is really all I got to do. Supervise slapshots!
Or Box Hockey, I think it was called Gockey for some reason. This was fun, but not for long cause the sticks were "too small".
So they moved on to the BIG sticks. Here that got to see how hard they could shoot. Breck got 20 mph in this shot but did get up to 26 at one point. For some reason it didn't register with Cullen even though he's got a hard shot.
Then Daddy hit a few and got 75 mph! Nice work, Shawn.
Cullen and I did find the Hobey Baker area and found a list with all the recipients as well as the statue. So saw our friend Junior Lessard's name and the most recent Bulldog, Jack Connolly.
Couldn't leave without a picture of Breck with a Breck jersey!
And our happy lil guy driving the Zamboni! Man it was hard to get him to leave. We had a great time enjoying the sport that has taken over our life!
After a great day at the Museum we watched Dad ref a game. Other crazy events throughout the day were that we witnessed a roll-over car accident on our way up(driver was ok), the temp. dropped significantly throughout the day and the wind was insane, Shawn accidentally let go of a door that hit Breck in the head, both boys ate more than mom and dad at subway, the weather got so crazy we couldn't even get a picture by the BIG stick.
I can't wait for many more family trips full of crazy times, good memories, funny stories, tantrums, and most of all, my favorite people!
