Basketball

Basketball is one of the new sports the boys have really enjoyed playing.  It has taken over the hockey rink (which I am very happy about) and become our court for Pig.

Cullen was cold this morning and so he put on his Halloween costume to warm up during his game.  So our little mouse is catching on and starting to make baskets more frequently. 

The next Air Jordan!  Funny thing is he usually sticks out his tongue too but didn't in this pic.

Swimming vs. Snow

The boys just finished up swimming lessons and are really taking to it.  They had so much fun and started to gain more confidence.  We will be putting them in lessons together for next session, and are super excited about that!!

Shoveling this heavy stuff.  But it just keeps coming :(

They like it, but I am done with it. 

Snowball fights are great and all in November - February, but I would much rather have bike rides and picnics this time of year.

Holy Guacamole!!

With all of this snow we needed to find more inside activities that did NOT involve sports.  So we looked through some awesome kids cookbooks and found an easy (and very yummy) recipe for guac.  The boys made it together.

Chow time! I asked if it was yummy and Breck dove in first.  While Cullen is saying "I fink so" (yes, I did spell think with an f, it's how he says it.) while patiently waiting for his turn to try it.

So excxited to shovel the snow they headed outside with jammies on.

Then inside for a little jam session.  Both boys love to rock out.

Rochester

Had a great weekend in Rochester visiting the Carroll family.  We got there about dinner time and spent the evening playing and catching up and ended the night with a movie and popcorn.  I tried to get them all to smile, but the movie was way more important!  Cullen, Alyssa, Shay & Breck.

Saturday we went to Brett's school and used their pool and played in the gym.  Cullen loves the water and has no fear.  Here he is swimming all by himself (with his life jacket)!!

Like I said...NO fear!  Cullen jumping off the starting blocks :) 

We went home for lunch, played in the jumper, rode bikes, and then we went to the Children's Museum. Alyssa started painting her face and Cullen and Shay joined in.  Breck chose not to do this.  Wish you could see all of Lyssa's face, she definitely won the prize for creativity and amount of red paint, I think we have a clown in the making :)  We went home for pizza and the kids crashed at 7pm.  The adults had the whole evening without kids :)     

Sunday we packed up and got ready to leave but not before going skating.  I didn't take any pictures of that either, but it was the perfect ending to a great weekend.  Both kids crashed and slept the majority of the ride home.  Thanks Carroll's for a busy and fun weekend.

Easters & Birthdays

We spent our Easter weekend in Mankato with the Burns'.  Carol, Greg and I took the boys to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning.  Breck and a bunch of kids picking up candy.  Cullen didn't want to do it (see the Easter Bunny in the background...too scary!)

The parking lot was the favorite place for Cullen.  We call him the splash master.  If there is water, Cullen will find it :)

Grandma & Grandpa got the boys bikes for their birthday!  They were so excited! And spent lots of time over the weekend biking in the driveway.

On Easter the Johnsons and Nelsons came over.  Here the boys are decorating eggs with Anna and Travis.  We did a contest and they had a great time.
