Grandma's Weekend!

The weather was not what we expected for the weekend but we just had to deal with it.  Friday was Shawn's birthday but it was also my race so we really didn't get to celebrate that day.  I also made my sister Stacy run with me :) Thanks Stacy!  We are cheering on Breck and Cullen in their races first.

Cullen went first and the first 1/2 of the race went well, then he freaked out and started crying.  So the last part was a little sad.  Poor kid.  He did well though :)

Breck did awesome.  He ran really hard but got pushed a little and got nervous (it was really wet) but kept it together and finished strong.  Looking forward to lots of races over the rest of the summer.

Post race!  Thanks again sissy for running last minute with me.  It was great to have someone to run with! Love you!

Our friend Brett ran the full marathon and did really well.  Notice the wonderful weather....can you even see him thru the fog?  Nice race, Brett!

Shawn, Angie, & Evan helping Brett keep going after his legs were shutting down. What great friends!

Our friend Doug also ran the full.  He did awesome as well!

Shawn, Brett & Evan having a good time later that evening.

Stacy and the boys were having a good time doing hurdles (since it was so yucky outside we spent a lot of time indoors)  First she was the starter.  Then she was hurdling them :)

Cullen with a serious face.....Breck with some height!!
We do whatever it takes to survive :)

Father's Day Weekend

We finally had some great weather and spent a lot of time outside.  Our garage door opener unit broke so we had to install a new one, washed and waxed the car, did some yard work, rode bikes, boys went golfing, ran errands, had a visit from Liz, Eric, McKeon, & Greta, played tennis, got caught in a crazy 10 minute hail, wind and rain thunderstorm, and celebrated Shawn!  Busy, buy fun weekend.

Me trying to get a nice picture of the boys for Shawn.  They were just too silly and distracted :)

Picking on each other is more like what we see everyday anyway!

After some bike riding the boys, in their words "needed some time to chill-lax" while Shawn was cleaning the car.  Looks pretty comfortable!

Cullen working on his tennis skills getting a few balls from Dad.

Breck returning back to Dad and Cullen.

Dad got a good work out chasing and keeping the boys hits in play.  Nice work, Daddy!

My Boys!  Or Dad and his sons!  Either way it's a sweet picture!

My goofballs:)

Daddy Love!
Happy Father's Day Shawn! You are an amazing Dad!

A little video of one of the first times Breck rode his bike!  He just keeps getting better! It's been so fun to watch!

T-ball

This was Breck's first game, his first time walking on to a baseball field wearing a jersey.  I was proud, but not as proud as he was :)  Go #4!

Getting ready to bat.

First pitch.  Nice hit, Breck!

Our little outfielder!  The kids rotate positions so they will have a chance to play everywhere.

Running the bases.

Now check out that swing!  Look out Joe Mauer, Breck Burns is coming for you!

The Blue Hawks.
From L back-Owen S, Quinn, Ryan, Caroline.

And Coach Steve.  Looking forward to a fun year!

Books & Tennis

Our boys have always loved books and we spend lots of time throughout the day looking at them and reading them....and I LOVE it!

YEAH!! More books. More reading. More cuddle time!

The other morning we spent some time watching the French Open and cheering on Nadal.  The boys were tired and it was rainy so we hung out in our jammies.  The boys thought clay courts were pretty cool.

Then when Nadal won and they were going to play Spain's national anthem the boys jumped up and put their hands on their hearts, but then saw the military and changed to a salute.  Very cute.  At the end of the song they asked me when they were going to play the anthem.  Meaning The Star Spangled Banner :)

Boys will be boys..

Who is who?  Didn't know I had bought the same shirt for Breck in a bigger size and when we found it the boys about lost it.  They were SO excited to match....or be on the same team!  Lookin' good, Burns Boys!

At the Children's Museam there is a castle with knight gear, horses, and armor.  The boys had a good time "fighting" and "ridin' horses"!

Cool Cullen :)  Enjoying the sun, the Lake, and the rocks.

Testing out the water.  Mazie loved it, but the boys thought it was still too cold.

As much as I love playing with the boys I am so happy they are at the age where they can entertain each other (and not want me to play with them).  I got to sit on the rocks, catch a little sun, relax, and watch the boys play.  Nothing makes me happier than seeing our boys laugh together, create, explore, and make memories!

Bubbly Breck :)

Minne Teepee Weekend

We joined my parents for a weekend at a resort and had a wonderful time.  Heading off to the boat for some fishing.

First time wetting their lines this year.

Grandpa Gary and Cullen having a few laughs together!

Mom and Breck being silly too!

Cullen driving like the crazy kid he is :)

Breck enjoying it though.  I think this was after a splash came over the boat from Cullen driving in circles.  Do it again! Do it again!

Funny faces!

One of Breck's big fish.

We had lots of wind and rain so we were doing inside things like playing crazy 8's!  A little crazy, but lots of fun :)  Oh, and we sent Grandpa to the store to buy Hot Chocoate on June 1st.  It was that cold!

Sunday the sun came out and so did the ducks.  Here Grandma and the boys were feeding it crackers.

Trying to get a fire started after some wet weather.

This is a face of a boy who is having a fantastic time!

This is the face of a boy who has fun doing anything!
Thanks for a great weekend and lots of fun!
