Trip continued....

After Mankato we needed to head back to Duluth for volleyball and work for a day.  So we dropped the kids back off in Blaine and Shawn and I went to Duluth for friday.  Then back to the cities for our first Twins game of the year.  Here they are taking the field!

We had a family lunch on Sunday and ended back in Duluth with 1300 miles on the car and lots of good memories to show for it!

1300 mile trip in MN

Aug 9th started our 10 day journey through Minnesota.  We left Duluth friday night and got to Blaine to sleep and breaking up our Saturday travels.  Saturday morning we headed down to Farmington for our friends Farm Party.  The boys saw cow, goats, chickens, roosters, dogs, and baby birds.  It was a beautiful day with friends.

Breck and Cullen convinced both Brian and Abby to play baseball with them, but also lots of other people they just met.  The boys made quite the impression :)  Then we headed off to Walnut Grove for a surprise birthday party for Shawn's aunt.  Cullen was too tired for our pic.

And I somehow didn't take any pictures at Sue's party :(  We had a great time too.  Again, the boys made quick friends and played the whole evening which allowed mom and dad to enjoy some conversation!

We then headed to Mankato where the boys snuck upstairs with Grandma's iPad to watch a few PBS shows while the adults were "taking too long packing" cause we were heading over to the Kinne Cabin for our week vacation!

Aahhh, and vacation begins :)  Awesome sunset!

Breck has done some driving of both his Grandpa's boats, but this time he was serious!!  He worked very hard at staying a safe distance from the shore, the bouys, other boats, but still had time to whip some dounuts:)

Shawn in mid air!  This was his first time wakeboarding in a very long time.  I think I have only seen him do it once or twice before.  Lookin good!

Jumping in off the raft.  This lake is awesome, it's a very shallow lake so the boys have a huge space to play, run, swim, and goof around while I never had to worry about them being too deep!

Beach campfires at night are so fun!  The work good for dessert too!

Our awesome drivers and spotters.  This is when they took both Shawn and I skiing together :)  Don't have those pics yet, but I hope to post them soon.  It was fun!

We also got to go with Mike and Carol to their adaptive ski session one evening.  Every Tuesday in the summer they take their boat to this Lake and take anyone who has special needs (physical or mental) skiing.  Such an amazing experience, we look forward to it every year.  This is a picture of all the people who volunteer each week to make it happen.  9 skiiers came - a few in the sit ski, a few off the boom, and a few behind the boat.  And 15 or so volunteers!

B&C's week in Kato

It's taken me a while to get these pictures up as they are from the middle of July, but here they are.  Breck and Cullen wanted to do a Lemonade stand while in Mankato with Grandma Carol.  So here they are at the end of the driveway with their Free Lemonade stand!

Uncle Greg joined the crew to North Mankato Fun days for some carnival fun.  The boys first Ferris wheel ride.  And I think it was a hit.

Riding the Train!  They got to ring the bell in the front which was the highlight of the ride.  We heard about it for weeks, well, we still here about it!

Lots of bike riding happened too.  They set up courses to drive around cones.  A great way to burn energy!

Look how much we've grown.  Or look how much the tree has grown.  Wait..I think we are both growing! This tree came from Kathy & Jim's cabin in Ely as a seedling and Carol takes the boys picture by it every time they come.

Boys who play hard need to get clean!  I guess with how many toys they have in there they play hard in the bathtub too!

The boys helped Grandpa trim some trees and load the branches.  Then they got to ride along!  Pure joy on their faces!

 

They had a so much fun!  Thank you again for taking the boys and doing so many memorable things with them.  They are very lucky boys!

Visit with Scheidels

Some of these posts are a bit out of order, sorry just trying to catch up.  When we were home for Finnley's birth we also met up with some good friends.  But before we could see them the boys had some fun at Grandpa & Grandma Pearces house.  TC came to hang out!

Which turned into a concert!  They were rocking out to Hey, Ho - McKeon's favorite!

Boys and their toys!  A mini parade of vehicles, a train - Breck and his tractor, Cullen on a trike, and McKeon on his jet ski.  So much fun!  Thanks again, Scheidels!  It was a wonderful night :)

And we ended our trip with a quick lunch date with Grandma Dee at her work.  Thanks for letting the boys see where you work!

I needed to get some new and nice shots of the boys and I had some backup (Uncle Greg and Auntie Stacy) so we headed down to the railroad tracks to see what we could come up with!  Here is our super smiley and very adorable Cullen!

While Stacy was here we went to the Mall and she captured them taking a flight from North America to North America :) Too funny.

We also happened to see Mrs. Delicious - a lady in Duluth who put a freezer on her bike and peddles around parks, the library, and other kid dominated places to sell ice cream, freezes, and other cold refreshments :)  A very smart lady.....well when we got home our boys made their own :)
